Remember that a few months ago I started writing my English dairies here in order to practice my English. However when I left Hong Kong for Guangzhou I didn’t continue this blog. But now I feel it’s the high time for me to improve my oral written listening English because today some things make me so embarrassed or impress me a lot.

Today after health psychology course, our group members should hand in everyone’s photo. However an exchange student and I haven’t brought it. For convenience, I went to her hall to bring her photo first. In the way to her hall, we talked something. The bad thing happened. Because I could not hear her American accent clearly and I misunderstood her meaning many times~~~~and then she tried to talk to me in Cantonese! It seemed the communication between us was so difficult to continue.

Then tonight I joined our department’s welcome party for freshmen from mainland. There were so many students and professors including our dean are from mainland!!! The most important goal for me was to meet my mentor and I did meet him and talked with him. He was so nice a Hong Kong man. He said whatever problem we met we could come to ask him for help. Then I talked with a year4 student. She told me lots of information about our future jobs and opportunity of finding jobs in Hong Kong. She made me know that it’s difficult for us to find jobs here because many companies prefer local students except we are indeed excellent in this area. And during the interview, the personality you show is the most essential thing they consider whether they need you or not. So I should perform all my abilities such as leading ship, problem solving, and active participant and so on. Well, it seems I lack this abilities a lot.

So from now on, I definitely force myself to make me more suitable for this competitive society.  

So it’s the only chance for me to fulfill my promise to GorGor.

 

Today's oral exam made me sad. My performance was bad. I know I will never be good at oral activities……

No hope left……

Pour le cours de français It is raining now. After this hot morning, it rains like cats and dogs at last. The sky becomes black and the views far away become vague, just like tomorrow's oral exam of French. My partner is not a diligent student because she is always sleeping while the we having the class and she seldom finishes her homework on time! I am so worried about tomorrow’s oral exam. We will be given a situation and prepare a conversation in 10 minutes. I hope we can do our best to overcome the difficulties. God bless us! Our French teacher is so interesting and he is so enthusiast to teach us. Because today’s class is the last Formal one we had, so a student prepared a postcard of Twins who our teacher like most (well, he is really a Frenchman but it sees like that he’s a HongKongee because he is so familiar with Hong Kong!). We writ some French words on the postcard like ‘le cours de français est très bien’. It was a great surprise to him! It’s a wonderful time for the class of French except the exams we will have to attempt in… （well， the background is a french restaurant that Leslie and Daffy like so much!)
